Places, Travel & Geography

Cities, countries, landmarks, bodies of water, directions, and other geographic connections. Each guide labels its editing status and explains the clue connections.

How to test this connection

Ask whether the clues name locations or things associated with a location. Then look for a clue outside the first apparent industry, such as art beside food or room access beside breakfast.

A common wrong turn

An association is not a universal promise. A feature common in hotels need not be offered by every hotel, and a country's cultural association need not be exclusive to that country.

A worked comparison

In #860, keycards alone could suggest offices. Toiletries and continental breakfast make a lodging context stronger; room service supports hotels rather than workplaces.

Welcome to our strategy guide for LinkedIn’s Pinpoint. This daily puzzle gives you five clues and challenges you to find the single category that unites them all. Unlike grouping games, your goal is not to divide a board into several sets. The entire puzzle is five clues, one hidden connection. Success requires logic, lateral thinking, and a willingness to reconsider an early idea. The clue board on our homepage shows all five clues at once, allowing you to see the full picture as you apply these techniques.

The complete guide includes worked examples, alternative meanings, and checks for connections that do not fit all five clues.
