Read the clue bank, choose each answer in top-to-bottom order, and press Check ladder. Every neighboring pair must differ in exactly one letter position. Place next rung repairs the current prefix and adds one correct word; Reveal solution shows the full chain and explains every change.

Compare positions
Count changed positions, not shared letters. An anagram may look friendly and still be an illegal neighbor.
Build forced pairs
Connect words with only one possible neighbor first, then join the smaller chains.
Keep clues provisional
If an answer fits the meaning but has no one-letter edge, revisit the synonym before rearranging everything else.
